Mystery fussiness
We had fussy girls, really fussy, this morning and just couldn't figure out why. Their colds were better, still runny noses but nothing worse that we knew, but yet they were fussy and wanting to be held all morning. Harper didn't even want to go on the computer OR take a bath, she was not herself at all. Then finally, this afternoon, after 4 very messy diapers, I came to the conclusion that it was tummy aches-constipation, that had been their problem. After that, they were back to being themselves, laughing, playing, fighting, but making up, too, with lots of hugs like this one I saw outside. Harper has claimed the yellow slide and the yellow car as hers, and Ava kept trying to go down her slide, Harper would say "no, mine" and point Ava over to the other slide, Ava would walk away and then turn and look at Harper and stick her bottom lip out in a huge pouty face...and Harper would run right over to her and they would hug, oh my gosh, it was so cute!
Parker came over after school and stayed still Gabe got home (Des and Rielee are in Disneyland), he helped me take the girls on a walk, then went to shoot baskets with Will. Auna came over after Hi-Cap and stayed until David got home. She was happy to watch a couple episodes of Cake Boss.

Papa's needless lessons...
We went out for a morning walk and on our way around the yard, Papa decided to show the girls how to climb the cedar tree. They looked very bewildered and didn't want to try it. The boards on the tree have all the signatures of the kids when they were younger-Em, Ains, Tiern, Macee, Jackie, Debbie, James, Will, Parker, Auna and recently Rielee added her name to the very top board (she had help from Papa climbing up to it). The kids used to climb up to a very low hanging branch and then swing on it and ride it to the ground.
It was kind of chilly in the shade and they didn't want to stay outside for long. We heard many loud "b-r-r-r-r-s" from Harper letting us know she was cold. Uncle Alan was outside and then came in the house with us to visit.

Feeling better
The girls were back today, and while they still had their runny noses, they were ready to play. They found Rielee's Little Pony collection in the closet this morning and had fun playing with them. Ava immediately put
on the little preemie baby hat, slightly crooked. She often wears it around the house, even though it barely fits her. They were a little bit cranky and needy in the morning, but after a long nap and a big lunch of chicken noodle soup, they were in very good moods and their noses seem to be a little drier. The weather warmed up enough that we got to take them outside for a long walk. They went over to see Uncle Alan and were disappointed that he wasn't around, so we walked over to Uncle Gabe's to see Buttons the cat and also see if the cows were out (they were but way over in the field). The girls and Papa still mooed a bunch at them though.

Riels day
Rielee spent the day with us today. First we went to garage sales, and she was the only one who found anything, buying two stuffed animals, a horse and a Stitch football(?) for Macee. Then we took her to her game where she had 3 good hits and did some good fielding as shortstop, too. After we came home and had lunch, she and I played cards for awhile then we took her down to the trail so she could ride her scooter and play at the playground. It was good to spend the day with her since she will be gone next weekend, she and Des are leaving for Disneyland Thursday.
Friday-2 sick girls
It was only a matter of time before Harper caught Ava's cold, and today was the day. She was pretty miserable but perked up some with tylenol. Both girls wanted mostly my attention this morning, wanting to be held. That is, until Papa left to take Rielee to school, first they thought he might be taking them outside when he put on his shoes, when that didn't happen they were just plain upset, but then decided they missed him and gave him a hug when he got back.
Harper really hated her runny nose, and if I couldn't get to it quick enough, she would use her arm to wipe it!

Ava's cold
I am going to miss having Auna and Parker around in the afternoons, they are so good at playing with the girls and keeping them entertained.
