Macee & Wren, Josie & Hattie, Mother's Day

Macee and Wren came over Friday to visit for a few days.

We had beautiful weather, so they were able to play at the play fort.

Wren was a little nervous around us at first.

Saturday, we went to Josie and Hattie's dance recital.  It was so cute!

Mother's Day breakfast was fun, Charb and the girls came up (Kelly had to work). Harper cooked the eggs, Ava made French toast, I made biscuits and gravy and potato patties, and Des brought sausage and bacon.  

Wren and Ellie liked all of the food.

Wren tried out the sandbox later.  It took a little while,

but she got into it! 

And she loved the hammock, too.

Dinner was Kentucky Fried Chicken at Des and Gabe's. Ellie likes Gigi and Grandpa's swing.

Grandpa entertained Wren with bubbles.

All in all, it was a perfect Mother's Day.

 

Auna's shower

Auna's baby shower was at a beautiful venue by Silver Lake.

She got lots of help opening gifts from her nieces.  Lots of "doodle" gifts, too.

We were bad at the games, the girls entertained themselves drawing pictures of each other.

Brentley looked so cute with her hair up.

 Laury brought a blanket and toys for the little ones, kept them happy for a long time.

Ellie's baby bun, cousin visit

Ellie looked so cute Friday with her little baby bun hairdo.

The cousins came over for a visit, getting a good picture was impossible.  Ellie looked suspicious of Laury taking her picture.

There was some intense Barbie playing going on.
