Little cuddlers

Ava and Harper are so cuddly these days, especially after they wake up from their naps.
Papa making them laugh during snack time.
Today was an odd day with no visitors, it seemed so strange to have them all to ourselves. They are very busy little girls these days, on the go from the time they wake up, I would love to put a pedometer on them and see just how far they do toddle in a day! They are babbling more now, too, and surprising us with words here and there, today I heard them say "bite" "more" and "thank you" while they were eating. I gave them some raisins and neither one of them were interested in eating them, it was funny because they passed them back and forth to each other and then they just disappeared when I wasn't looking, I found them later stashed down in the sides of the high chair seats.
After we took the babies back to Charb, we went to Kalama and killed some time shopping and sight seeing at some of the housing developments up on the hill before we went to watch Macee's volleyball game. The won easily in 3.

Auna

Ava and Harper were excited to see Max this morning when he came over with Laury, he always gets lots of squeals from them when they see him.
Rielee rode the bus to school for the first time this morning. The bus stop is at the Jehovah Witness parking lot off Studebaker Rd. now since there are so many out of district students. One boy from her class was there riding it, too, so that made it easier.
Tonight was a warm, gorgeous evening to watch Auna play soccer. She played forward and stayed in the entire game, scoring a couple of goals to help her team win.

"I don't want my picture taken!" she said, hiding from the camera, being hot and sweaty just doesn't make for a great photo op.

Remotely funny

It was so cute this morning, I was in the kitchen and when I came back into the living room, and there were Ava and Harper each with a remote, they both looked sheepishly at me but just kept pressing buttons like mad. They had switched the TV off of cable so they were trying hard to make something happen! They are pretty good though, they know they aren't supposed to have the remotes and always hand them over without much argument.
Later, when we were taking them out for their morning car ride, I went to put Harper in the red car and she started protesting loudly and arching her back, she wanted to ride in the green car with the good horn!

Today they got their first ride on the lawn mower, first they rode in the wagon but got tired of that and wanted out to walk around and play on the slides. So after that Papa loaded them up and took them on a long ride around the yard.

Em playing Saturday

I love these pictures of Emmy playing in the game against St. Martins College Saturday night, they were wearing pink because it was Volleyball Dig Pink night. We saw her play in the 3rd set on the live video on-line, but she also played in the 2nd set, darn, didn't get home from Parker's game in time to see it. Got these pix off her FB page (not stalking you either, Em, your Mom told me, honest!!)

Cows and car racing

After school on Monday is always interesting, they are all so happy to see each other.
Harper and Ava got to try out the new slide today, it was a little hard climbing up since it's like a mini-climbing wall on the other side and they needed help.

The cows were right by the fence this afternoon, so we pushed the girls over to take a look at them. They were fascinated, they sat there and pointed at them for a long time.
And here is how Papa entertains them sometimes, although I think he mostly is entertaining himself!

Weekend

Rielee and Parker came over tonight while their parents went to work at the Amphitheater.Parker watching the Bears vs. NY Giants game, he was pretty frustrated with the way his Giants were playing. Parker had a football game against Athlete's Corner in Cathlamet yesterday, he was excited because they won and he got to carry the ball a couple of times. He is very much into football this year.

Rielee working on pictures to take to her teacher and teacher asst. tomorrow, a process that took over 2 hours since she just couldn't get the background the way she wanted. Also, she used colored pencils so there was a lot of sharpening going on, too. The picture consisted of coffee filter butterflies (still loves to make them) on a background with the sun with apple trees and flowers. She enjoys drawing but gets easily frustrated if things don't look the way she wants.
Macee came over for dinner, then hung out watching football for awhile. I went to their house at bedtime and stayed until Gabe and Des got home.

Rielee at school

We took Rielee and the camera to school today. She posed with the ferrets (Cocoa isn't sick anymore, thank goodness),
and Carl the hamster, too. Just my luck, while we were there a Mom brought the largest spider I have ever seen, I looked at Steve in horror and he was even cringing, it was so awful looking.

Here she is signing up for cold lunch. She is back to her happy little self, no more tears going to school!
