Josie visit

Josie and Grandma came over this morning, we haven't seen Josie for awhile since she was sick last week.

We were happy when she waved good-bye to Grandma and wanted to stay and play.  She had some toast and then got busy.
Playing beach ball with Uncle.

Josie is so affectionate, always ready for a hug, kiss or a fist bump

I was ready to donate this bead maze but today she got it out and played with it.

She likes Uncle's crazy rides back to Grandma's.

Ava soccer

We watched Ava play one of her best ever games today at Harmony.  She was so aggressive,  breaking up attacks and shots on goal.  After one of her saves, the goalie gave her a big hug!  They won 1-0.

Harper softball

Harper and her team the "Mudsliders" had a game today in Kalama.  No mud to slide in today, though, it was warm and sunny!
Best of all, Lexi is home for the weekend.

Track

Darn it,-Kelso's track meet at Skyview last week was cancelled due to the weather.  We had looked forward to watching Rielee and Colin at the same meet.   So instead yesterday I watched Rielee at her track meet at KHS with Mt. View, she got a PR at 11',

while Papa watched Colin compete in the mile and the javelin at his home meet with Union.

Easter

Another fun Easter celebration at the Woodruff's.
Cathy and Bob outdid themselves again, and the weather cooperated, too!

Harper hunting eggs.

Checking out their loot.
The kid's egg roll came down to Ava and Jillian, with Jillian winning.
Rick won the adult's egg roll.
My photography skills were lacking- I didn't get a family picture of Nancy and Colin or Gabe, Des and the kids!
The egg toss is always so fun to watch.  Julie and Kevin won.
The last game was Family Feud, with the girls winning.  It's always a lot of laughs!

Rielee prom

Our very own Prom princess stopped by on her way to pictures at the Japanese garden, then dinner, then on to the prom.  She looked gorgeous.  Papa asked "how can this be?  What happened to that little girl, she was just three yesterday, playing match game, harmonicas and ukulele with me?"

Scottsdale Spring Break trip

Gabe and Des rented a house in Scottsdale for Spring Break.  They were all there through the weekend. Macee left Sunday,  Rielee left Monday morning and Parker and Alissa went back Tuesday night.
Nancy and Colin flew down with us Sunday morning.  We first visited Old Town, looking through the shops, had lunch and Colin rode the scooters with Parker, Alissa and Des.

Monday morning we went on a nice, easy hike at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
This was how it went - Colin way out in front, then he would wait for us to catch up.
In the afternoon we went to the OdySea Aquarium, it was very cool.  Would have liked to checked out the Ripley's Exhibit, but we ran out of time (and energy).

Due to their Sunday morning Southwest Flight being cancelled, Charb, Kelly and the girls didn't arrive until late Monday night.  Harper and Ava were happy to have bunk beds to sleep in.
Tuesday they all spent a fun day at the Oasis Water Park at the Grand Arizona Resort, which had slides, a wave pool and a lazy river.
And snowcones.

Nancy on the slide.
Fun fact:  Colin and Charb raced down the slides, Colin won.

Wednesday, Des, Gabe and Colin were up at 6 a.m. to hike Camelback Mountain.

Then Grandpa and Colin went to the Arizona Commemorative Air Museum.
Colin, a future pilot, enjoyed it.
Papa giving Ava a pool lesson.  The girls and I tried to go for a walk, but by that time it was much too hot.
In the afternoon, the kids spent some quality time in the pool and hanging out with us while their parents went to Old Town.
Colin was the king of the cannon ball-the girls look pained waiting for his huge splash.

Giving us a send-off as we left for our evening flight home.
