Halloween

Our first Halloween visitor was Josie wearing Auna's first costume from 20 years ago, how cute!  She was hungry so Emmy took her home for a bottle and brought her back later when she was feeling better.

The Gourdes were all dressed up this year, so fun.  

We had pizza, then the girls went on their Halloween Scavenger Hunt.  They just couldn't bring themselves to drink the goo and had to dump it out to read the clue on the bottom of the cup.

One of their clues led to this witch,

Harper found a skeleton unicorn along the way and claimed it as hers.

Then they trick-or-treated at the Gourdes,

and at Laury and David's, where Kelly finally got to meet Josie.  It was funny-Kelly, of course, snuggled Josie and accidentally got makeup on her temple.  Josie was a little overwhelmed by all the visitors, especially Charb and green Ava.

Later, they went to Alan and Vera's and their last stop was Cathy and Bob's house.  Then it was back to Vancouver to visit family there.

 

Sweet Josie

Josie is the sweetest little Grand-Niece.

She's so happy and inquisitive and growing so fast,

and she's the best little napper, it makes me so happy to hold her and watch her sleep.

 

Hot tub fun

Rielee came over Friday night so they could all break in the hot tub together.  

They went in twice, with a half hour break to cool off in between.

Saturday the cousins all got in, even Josie showed up to watch.  Papa was digging holes to set the fence posts, that's why they're crooked.

Josie was in a serious mood but they got one big grin out of her, Tor kept trying though.  

Cookie decorating, and eating, during break time, they all went back in except for Jillian and Rielee who stayed in the house and played with Sadie.

Rielee brought her make up over so she and Harper could do makeovers.

Sunday morning sunshine and a couple last dips, nice even when it's 37 out.

Rielee came back over to straighten Harper's hair.  Ava found her Brown Bear in the closet and took him home.

 

Josie, Riels and Sadie

Josie came to stay with me while Grandma picked up her grocery order Monday morning.  She took a nap, did some tummy time and just generally entertained me with her sweet disposition.

 Rielee and Sadie came over in the afternoon.  Rielee needed to borrow a tropical shirt for school.  Sadie is growing and knows how to sit and lay down.  Rielee was happy because she rang the bell to go out to potty but said she still needs more practice walking on the leash.

Potions, pumpkins and cousins

Saturday they painted and decorated their pumpkins,

Ava's will be a flamingo, Harper made hers a unicorn.

They got some fun playing time with the cousins, here and at Cathy's.

This picture is when Papa took them on a hike down the Dolan's canyon trail.

Watching Josie

Laury had a dental appt. today so Auna was going to watch Josie.  But then Auna's license came yesterday and she started her job today, so I got to watch Josie instead!  Yay!  We went for a walk, visiting Uncle and Des and Rielee, then she did some tummy time and showed me how she can roll over.  Then it was nap time.  This little one is such a good napper, I just gave her a binky and rocked her, sang 2 verses of the ABC song and she was out.  

I couldn't put her in the crib, I just wanted to hold her and watch her sleep.

Grandma Laury came home just as Josie was waking up so she let me give her a bottle, then Dan took a break from work and Emmy came home.  She was so happy to see them!

 

Cousins cousins everywhere

Our visitors this weekend included Sally B., who was in need of stitches and stuffing.

Rielee brought Sadie over to visit at the play fort Friday evening.  Sadie's ball chasing entertained everybody.

Saturday morning we met the Woodruff cousins at the CR Harvest Festival.  They got a generous goody bag and a pumpkin of their choice.   Later the kids came up for a fire pit lunch and then played at Cathy's.

Emmy brought Josie over, she was wearing the Batman outfit that Charb and Kelly bought her.  And cute little shoes that she kept kicking off.

Harper found a cute Halloween countdown chain craft, they got pretty creative decorating them.

We puppy-sat Sadie while Rielee was shopping, she posed nicely for a picture.

Setting up the graveyard, they can do it by themselves now.  

Sunday they got more playing time in with the kids before they went home, making slime and playing outside, it was a very fun cousin weekend.
