Colin firewood,

As soon as the girls got here on Saturday Ava started a restaurant, taking our orders and filling them.  They spent the rest of the evening drawing and making a blanket fort, then we watched a few episode of Nailed It.

Colin came up Sunday to help Grandpa split and stack firewood, they got a lot done.

When Nancy and Katelyn came to get Colin, we had hot dogs and marshmallows at the fire pit,

Katelyn made herself a triple-decker s'more.

Colin's All Star Track Meet

Colin's All Star Meet was at Columbia River H.S. and included all the middle schools in the Vancouver School District.  He did great, with another PR in the discus at 83'2".

Rielee district track

Rielee had a successful district track meet, with PR's in the hurdles (17.1), high jump (4') and long jump (14' 3").  She won the hurdles by default, she was in 2nd but the girl in first place fell on the last hurdle. They didn't have any announcements so we didn't know who placed in any of the events.

Their snowball fight this year was a soggy one, those flowers were holding a lot of water!

This was after Ava's game, she tried to smile but was hot, thirsty and tired, having played the entire game, and they lost.  

Rielee & Colin track PR's, Duke

When she got home from her track meet yesterday, Rielee was thrilled to find her old cat Duke came back to visit.  She played with him for a long time, fed him and left some food out for him so he might come around again, and he was there again today.   She did well at her track meet, she got a PR in the javelin, throwing 92 feet, she'll compete at District next week.  

Grandpa watched as Colin also got a PR at his meet yesterday, with a discus throw of 78' 3", which earned him a trip to the All-Star Meet next week.

Rielee looked so cute this morning I had to take a picture of  her.  It's been such fun having her around this week while Des and Gabe were at a conference in Texas.

Rielee's track meet was good today, she had a win in the hurdles and javelin and she didn't get rained on.

Mother's Day

Charb and the girls and Gabe, Des, Macee, and Parker visited today.

Rielee was still at her volleyball tournament.

  Emmy and Dan came by, too, Ava took a silly selfie.

Love my family, it was a wonderful Mother's Day.

Lexi at Ava's soccer, Luke senior prom, Harper sprained pinkie

 Lexi came to watch Ava play soccer this morning.  She's home for Mother's Day, done with her Junior year, but going back to Boise Tuesday to work through the summer. Ava's team lost this game, but it was a competitive and Ava scored a goal.  Harper had a in the afternoon but Mom and Dad decided she should have her pinkie checked out since it was still hurting from Thursday night (she fell and bent it backwards).  So she went to Urgent Care instead.

Luke's Senior Prom is tonight. He posed with Ava and Lexi first.

He and Riley looked awesome.

After the doctor visit Harper and Dad met Mom, Lexi and Ava at Red Robin.

Harper has to wear her splint for a week.

Riding around

 These two were so excited when Rielee came over this morning and asked if they could go for a ride with her in the Ranger, the little rig they got to use at the lake.  Note:  Ava took her flamingo along.

We watched all three of them play later, first Ava'a soccer was in Hazel Dell, Nancy and Katelyn came to watch, too.  The kicker's won  it 3-1 and Ava scored a goal.

After that we made it to Camas in time to see the end of Harper's game, we got to see her bat and get walked, it looked like she was having fun running the bases.  Then we went to the Expo Center and watched Rielee's team play at Regionals.  They lost that game in 3 but won their first one, Rielee played back row and did really well.

Squirt gun fight

It was warm enough after school for a squirt gun fight and t was a loud one since the water was so cold.

They stayed outside afterwards trying to keep warm with several towels on the driveway.  We sent the rest of the evening watching Bedtime Stories and having drawing contests.

Colin track meet

It was warm and sunny today for Colin's track meet at Alki against McLoughlin.  He looked good throwing the discus, I can't remember how far he threw though.  He took 3rd in the 800, he almost had 2nd but was passed right at the last.  

Rielee track

Tuesday Rielee won the hurdles and javelin at her match vs.Cascade. She also had a PR in the long jump and was happy about that.
