Ava had an extra tooth in between her two front teeth. Previous attempts to have it removed had failed, it was just too traumatic for her. This time they went to a different dentist and she was given tranquilizers to relax her and IV sedation during the procedure and it all went well.
At home- recovering and watching Paddington 2.
She face timed me later and was super chatty, telling me all about her dental adventure. She was especially amazed at the way it looked like Mom had 2 heads and Dad had 3 eyes after she took those pills.
She recuperated quickly and only needed Tylenol afterwards. So glad she has that ordeal behind her.
The tooth fairy left her $4 for the tooth.
Friday after track practice, Rielee went to Pollen and took a lesson from Jason on how to make a hand-tied bouquet for Mother's Day.
She added lots of lilacs because it's one of her Mom's favorites. It turned out beautifully and took all of about 5 minutes.
Ava was back to her old self Saturday so she and Harper came up to spend the night. Rielee had been with us since Wednesday since Des and Gabe were on a business trip till today. They spent the day drawing, playing outside, and, oh boy, it's snowball season, a favorite time for the girls. I had a knock on the door-there was Ava with two handfuls of snowballs behind her back, she yells "SNOWBALL FIGHT" and got me good!
We had planned a fire pit but it was so hot out, we decided pizza would be better. Ava was so cute, I ordered her an olive pizza and she was thrilled, the girl loves olives. She managed to eat it without hurting her stitches. She asked for a fire pit when we got home just for marshmallows. It was a disaster, so much wind we could barely sit there, everyone kept getting smoked out and having to jump up and move. Marshmallows kept getting burnt and falling off, we finally gave it up.
Harper and Rielee posed for me between games and pizza.
Since Gabe and Des weren't supposed to be getting home till later tonight, we took Parker and Rielee to Parker's for dinner. The place was packed for Mother's Day and service started out terribly, but we managed to laugh it off and had a great time since we ended up with our favorite waiter. Gabe and Des got there just as we were finishing our meals, too, so we got to hear about their trip to New Orleans.
