Easter

It was the perfect Easter day, sunny and warm.  Des and Gabe hosted since Cathy and Bob and most of their family were out of town.

Josie had a solo egg hunt this year, Harper held her bag for her.

Hattie watched.

We did a 3-legged egg hunt contest for everyone else.  Ava and Harper kind of struggled.

Emmy and Dan came in second,

with Rielee and Parker winning with 26 eggs.

After opening their baskets,

we headed to the field for the egg roll (which by some miracle I won)

and the egg toss.

Parker and Alissa were the winners.

Everyone worked hard on some timed word games.

There were some very sketchy answers, with Robin the winner.

It was a very fun day.

 

Shoe painting

We had a fun weekend with the girls.  They painted shoes,

made cookies and phone charms, went out metal detecting with Papa and picked some Easter lilies.

 

Josie

It's so cute - when we play with Barbies, Josie always has a Papa and Grandma Barbie.  Grandma Barbie is always in charge of all the kids and pets. 

 

Harper softball

Harper's fastpitch softball season has begun.  She's on the JV team, playing left field or second base.

So far, they beat Hockinson and lost to Kelso.

Kiddos and crafts

We had fun watching Josie and Hattie for a little bit on Friday, they're busy little girls.  

Ava and Harper stayed over Saturday night, coming up after Harper's softball jamboree.

We watched The Hold Overs movie, it was really good.

Sunday they made candles, which turned out really nice.

They also tried water marbling and enjoyed that.

They spent the rest of the day painting spring pictures for me.
