Tournament weekend

Ava's first tournament of the season was the Clash at the Border, it started Friday afternoon, they tied 1-1 with a team from Alaska.

She played great was hot and frustrated afterwards.
They won two matches on Saturday and played the same Alaska team Sunday for the championship,
taking second with a 1-0 loss.

Harper's All-Star play-in tournament was Sunday,
they won and will play at State next weekend.
Harper made some great plays and had several good hits.

They also found out Sunday through DNA testing that they are identical twins, which made them both very happy.

Ava and Harper 8th Grade Completion Ceremony

Posing with their certificates after the program.  I didn't get any good pictures during it since we got there late and were sitting too far away from them.
They were excited for their class trip afterwards to Big Al's.

Colin's graduation

Colin graduated from Skyview High School tonight.  The ceremony was held at the amphitheater in Ridgefield, we ended up not going because of heat, watching it online instead.

Colin was in the top 5% of his class, they were asked to stand at the beginning of the ceremony.

Receiving his diploma.

Macee's bridal shower

Macee looked so pretty at her shower.

Maid of Honor Rielee (with help from Mom) did a wonderful job with the food and games.

Macee got some very nice gifts.

A handmade quilt from her Aunt Janice.

A cake stand she was very happy about,

and this bathroom rug she really wanted.  Other special gifts were pearls and a recipe box from her Grammie,  and another recipe box from Grannie Denice with her special recipes.
53 days until the wedding - can't wait to see her as a bride.

Ava, Harper and Josie

The girls spent the night with us after graduation and Josie was staying at Grandma's so she got to come over and play.  First she showed them everything she plays with in the house,
and then she showed them everything she likes to do at the play fort.

She wanted Harper to get the rings down so she try them out.
She can hold herself up for quite awhile.
Josie told me after this picture "no more pictures!"
So Ava took my phone up in the play fort and got this picture of her.
She tried out the big swing, but it's too high for her.

Back to the house and painting.  The girls were so good with her,
but cracked me up when they said "you know, she's a little bossy".

Rielee's graduation

As Senior Class President Rielee gave the welcoming speech at her graduation ceremony Saturday.
She was also part of the group announcing the names of the graduates, all 357 of them.

Getting a hug from the Superintendent before receiving her diploma.

We had pizza and snacks afterwards at Des and Gabe's.  Rielee had a class party that night from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m..

Court of Honor Ceremony

We were so proud to watch as Colin was recognized for becoming an Eagle Scout last night.
Nancy pinning his new pin.

Dad Barry tying his neckerchief.

He was awarded a flag that had flown over the U.S. Capital,

and also received a flag and certificate from the American Legion Lodge. His scout service project was cleaning and landscaping around their war memorials.

He gave a speech thanking everyone who helped him achieve his goal.

Mom and Dad and also his Uncle Brett and several scouts spoke and told stories of scouting activities with Colin.  We heard many times how remarkable it was that he could achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in less than 2 years.

We had a wonderful dinner and dessert afterwards.

We also received these pins from Colin for helping him with his
service project.  We are proud Eagle Scout Grandparents!

Rielee's grad party, Auna & Colby's reception

Rielee's graduation party was Saturday at J Squared Barrel House in Longview.
She's posing in front of the flower wall Mom & Dad made for her.

They displayed many of her academic and athletic awards, ribbons and medals, along with lots of pictures.

The girls are writing messages to Rielee on Jenga blocks.

Lots of family and friends and Rielee's coaches and classmates dropped in to visit and eat.
Displayed on the wall above is a wonderful quilt of Rielee's t-shirts made by her sewing teacher.

Then, later in the day we all went to celebrate with Auna and Colby.
Their reception was at the Big Green Barn in Toledo, a very cool wedding venue.
They looked so happy.

Everything was decorated so nicely and the food and cake were awesome.

Charb giving Ava a foosball lesoon.

Cathy and Bob were the longest married couple on the dance floor- 64 years, I think.
