Ava's Summer Slam Tournament

Ava's team played in the Summer Slam tournament at Harmony this weekend, taking third place.

Ava played great as defender and forward, and she scored a goal!

Josie got a lesson in tummy swinging and really liked it.

Then she got a ukulele lesson, liked that, too.

Today we tried something new-making soap.  It was fun and the girls liked how it turned out.

Lunch/Big Al's/Josie

Thursday we took the girls out to lunch at Red Robin and then to the arcade at Big Al's.

Friday we got a little play time with Josie.  She loved the seesaw and would have played on it forever.

"Up down, up down, more rides!"  Uncle's legs couldn't take it!

 

Summer fun and some work

We learned a valuable lesson Sunday night-never play Pictionary against twins.  

Yesterday Emmy brought Josie up to play with the girls.  They played in the pool but it was overcast and a little cool, so they came in and played inside.  Play-Doh was lots of fun.

After watching half of Black Panther and beating us at badminton last night, they got out the old spinning seesaw.  Somehow it survived another ride.

They went back to the big swing, too, still fun although it's getting pretty high.

We helped take care of Sadie while Rielee was gone touring Boise State, she got lots of love.

Today the girls earned some beach spending money by helping me sand and stain the play fort.

We got about 2/3 of it done before it got too hot out.

 

Loving Lucy, pool time

Lucy came to see the girls while they were out drawing on the driveway.  They were so happy and 

surprised when she let them pet her, it doesn't happen often.

We spent a couple of hours in the pool this afternoon.  The water was cool but it felt great on such a hot day.

 We watched  Ant-man and the Wasp after dinner and played badminton after the sun went down.

Watching Josie

I had a fun afternoon watching Josie while Emmy went sky-diving with her fellow teacher/friend Katy.

Uncle went to watch them and take pictures.  Josie and I played and played, in this pic she was hiding under the pillows with her stuffed monkey.  She did great with her potty training-going three times for me.

You can't tell but she's wearing a skirt, she's a country cousin after all.

Ava and Harper's 13th

Somehow these two turned 13 on Sunday.  Yikes.

They had a party at home with some family and friends, and Oliver and Murphy (who was happy to be photographed).

At first they just wanted VooDoo donuts, but at the last minute decided they wanted a cake, too.
