Josie visit, Ava's Clash At The Border tournament

I was glad we didn't get rid of Harper's box because Josie thought it was great fun when she visited us last week.

Ava's team took 2nd in the Clash of the Border tournament at Harmony.  She posed with Rylee after Saturday's game, they won 3-0.  Note:  Ava is holding the lucky flower she placed by the goal.

Their sweltering Sunday game 0-0 (99 degrees out) ended in a 0-0 tie.

Monday we went down early and took the girls out for lunch at Olive Garden (their choice) before Ava's team played in the championship game.  It was a little cooler, only 92 out, but unfortunately they lost 2-0.

Luke and Rylee were also there but left before we got a picture,  Charb missed it due to an out-of-town conference.

I'm so glad they are still entertained by something so simple as a box, this one being from Nancy's vanity top.  They watched a movie Friday night and then turned them over and slept in them, too.  

Saturday night we watched Antman, Harper said it was good and she was right.

Ava had a scrimmage Saturday afternoon, she played positions 5, 7, and 8, I believe, different from her usual position 2.  She wasn't comfortable, she said, but did a great job.  

Sunday Rielee turned 17, and somehow is now a Senior.  These kids are all growing up too fast!

 

Colin's Scout program

At Colin's Boy Scout program last night, he received 7 merit badges and moved up 3 advancements in rank.  He is at the Star rank now.  He's also in the color guard.

A scout's Mom gets a pin with each advancement.  There was also one new Eagle scout.  It was very fun, positive and meaningful program to watch.
