Josie, shower, soccer

Friday Josie came over to visit for a little while. Uncle got Charb's old rocking chair out of the shop so she could sit and watch Cocomelon,

while munching on puffs.  We tried to take the canister away and give her a few in her snack cup but she really wanted to hold the whole thing, we didn't let her eat them all though.

Saturday at Kalyn's bridal shower barbecue.  Kalyn is on the deck going through answers to a game.

Ava with a foul kick during her Summer Slam tournament, we watched one of her matches after the shower.  They won that one and went on to win the tournament!

The silly and sweet faces we enjoyed while eating at Red Robin afterwards.

 

Grabber game, Yahtzee, cornhole

Papa found a little grabber game at a garage sale. The kids got a kick out of it, it's one of their favorite arcade games, and hopefully Josie will like it one day.

Harper was hoping Sunny the Giraffe might give her some luck with Yahtzee.

We played lots of corn hole this weekend, somehow we never get any better...

Gabe's birthday, dinner w/Riels and Macee

We had dinner tonight at El Compadre with Gabe, Des, Macee and Rielee.  Macee was home this week and went along when Rielee visited the UW.

Josie was a drooling, teething, serious girl today when she came to play, but I finally got some smiles out of her when we went out to the slide.

then she went, but head first and that takes concentration.

She likes picking dandelions.

Showing me how she brushes her teeth with her cute banana toothbrush,

and brushed them all the way back to Grandma's.

 

Pool, games, hot tub and Josie

Since Ava's soccer training was cancelled due to the heat, they got to come up and stay Thursday night.  The cousins had a great time in Rielee's pool, playing games and having cannon ball contests.  Cathy and I had to be the judges and we were under a lot of pressure from the kids for higher scores.  Tor finally won the tricks competition when he surprised us with a forward somersault into the pool, which then all of them wanted to try.  We stopped that, though, too scary.

We played a pathetic game of corn hole after dinner, Ava and I lost 21-1!

Then we played Sorry, which Harper won.  (Ava is wearing an ice pack on her chin to cool off.)

Ava wanted to take pictures of the sunset, but first she took one of the moon.

Goofy Harper made us laugh with her fancy hot tub bun- she used all of the bows I had for Josie.

Lucy likes to hang out at the hot tub with the girls.

Josie visited yesterday, she liked playing with the baby.

Colin got his first car, he was very happy.

Ava and Harper play this game they made up all the time, the Bounce game, I think they call it.  It has some weird rules but it works for them. 

 

Ava & Harper 12th birthday, vaccinations

 

Ava and Harper turned 12 on Saturday and celebrated with a pizza party on Sunday.

Today they got their first Covid-19 vaccinations.
