Volleyball, pumpkins and cookies, trick or treaters

Tuesday Rielee had a home match against Hudson's Bay, they won it in 3,
Rielee had 22 digs.
The Kelso volleyball team aren’t just winners on the court, they were also named 3A  Fall Team Academic Champions by the WIAA with a 3.895 GPA.

Wednesday we picked up the girls after their early release.
They showed us their pumpkins,
Ava was proud of her pink one.

Decorated some Halloween cookies later.
2 trick or treaters!  We were so happy to have Debbie and Josh stop by with Jordon and Jacob all dressed up, such cuties!

Dolan's Halloween party

The Dolans brought back their Halloween party Saturday night after a 12 year break.  There were lots of great costumes-Nancy was a pumpkin, Katelyn was a pirate, Colin was a mythical Greek bull, he made his mask, Brian was Sasquatch.
Des and Gabe were Insurance agents Flo and Jake, Parker and Kendall were crayons, and Rielee wore Des’ old Kelso cheerleader outfit.
Ava was a skeleton bride, Kelly a witch, Charb was a creeper, and Harper was creepy, broken doll.

Cathy was an old lady, and stayed in character all night. Bob was a ray of sunshine.

Papa was an old biker, I was Malificent.
Dan was Tom Brady, Emmy was Bill Belichick.
We played some fun games, Charb and Rick wore shower caps covered with whipped cream while their team tried to throw Cheetos and get them to stick.  Charb's team won.
This game was a relay race, carrying and "eyeball" on a spoon in your teeth and passing it to a team member.
Kendall and Gabe made it look easy.
The Family Feud game between the boys and girls was a big hit.
Laury (Ruth Bader Ginsberg) was the hostess with Bridget and Harper helping,  the girls team won.
Rielee vs. Dan
There was a wild game of spoons played,
it came down to Des and Rick at the end, with Rick and Tor winning it.

A couple of cuties.
There was also a "spooky" trail through the woods, a Halloween bingo game, and a race to see who could empty a box of Kleenex the fastest.
It was a really fun party, made even more special since it was the first Halloween Steve and Nancy have spent together.

Camas Boo Bash

Wednesday we took the girls to the Camas Boo Bash Trick or Treat.  They close the streets and all the businesses hand out candy.  Sounded great and the kids were so excited to go.  However, so did about 5,000 other kids, it was so crowded and the lines were long and slow.  Making matters worse was the first two stops we waited and waited in line for were dentists!  No child, at least not these two, wants a toothbrush for Halloween.

The best part was when they met up with their friends.  Ava stayed in character.
We left after that and went to a local hamburger place for some milkshakes and fries.

Rielee had a match at Prairie later, Kelly brought the girls to watch.  Kelso lost and is now tied with Prairie for first place.

Halloween cake

Ava is able to ride her bike now with her short cast on.

Halloween cake decorating was a little difficult for her, but she managed to make a haunted house.
We didn’t have a cake mix so we had to make one from scratch.  I didn’t think it was very good, but they said it was delicious.

Sunday morning my little witch was suddenly camera shy.

Halloween decorations

Papa had lots of help setting up the graveyard yesterday.
They decorated the driveway, too, Ava got creative with her headless horseman.

Harper’s braces

Harper got her braces Thursday, she has a mouth full of wires, including metal bars on the roof of her mouth and behind her front teeth.  These, I think, will hold space for space for the rest of her adult teeth to come in.   She’s doing really well with them.

Harper's fall ball, Monster Mash, Lucy

Saturday - Harper scoring a run at her game in Battleground, which they won.
She is looking much more relaxed on the field now, so fun to watch.
Lots of excitement getting the Halloween stuff out, especially with the “Monster Mash” decoration, they still love it.
Lucy posed, well, she held still for a second for a picture.

Rielee’s fans

Ava, Harper and Kelly came to watch Rielee’s game Thursday at Mt. View, so did Nancy.
Kelso won easily 3-0,  Rielee did great and it was fun visiting with everyone.
