Rachelle & Adam wedding, helping Auna

Rachelle and Adam were married Sunday at the Troutdale House, Charb officiated.

Lexi was a bridesmaid, Adrianna was maid of honor, Dale was a groomsman,

Ava and Harper were flower girls

and Kelly read a poem.Rachelle had chosen.

It was lovely wedding and they looked so happy.
The kids had a great time playing together at the reception.

Thursday, July 25th - The girls went in to have Auna clean their teeth today.  She needed  two children as patients to fulfill her graduation requirements. They were a bit nervous about going in, but Auna made it easier by bringing her laptop for them to watch videos while they waited for the dentist to check her work.

Pool, cat petting injuries

A big group jump in the pool Monday, except Tor jumped in solo.
Harper made the mistake of trying to pet Lucy.  Ava now calls Lucy "Grumpy Cat's wife".

Ava's soccer tournament

Ava played in her first tournament this weekend since she joined a Washington Timbers U9 team.  They played at Buckman Field in NE Portland, she did really well, playing several positions.  They lost both games yesterday but tied one and won their last one today.  Rielee came with us to watch Ava.
We had a few hours between games yesterday so we ate lunch at IKEA and shopped around.  The girls managed to entertain themselves in all the showrooms.

Harper had fun climbing a pine tree while Ava was warming up.

carrots, cousins, badminton

Ava likes her fresh carrots cut up in tiny pieces.

The girls were so happy to play with Jillian and Bridget, Easter was the last time they had seen them.  They decorated balloons then had a contest to see how long they could keep them in the air, all with the music blaring, of course.

We were playing badminton when Daddy showed up to get them today.  He challenged them to a game and though they got a few good shots in, he beat them, much to their chagrin.

Swimming, fireworks, volleyball

Monday the girls got a little time in the pool with Rielee, the water was cold though, so they didn't stay in for very long.
We played badminton in the evening until it was dark and they could light their fireworks.

They still love snakes.

Tuesday evening they shot off what they had left.
Rielee was the voice of reason, making sure the girls lit everything safely.

Tuesday night Emmy and Auna played on the alumni teams at summer league at Toutle Lake.  They played against each other, which was really fun to watch.

Emmy left to help with her Kalama team but Auna sat down for a second so we got a cousin picture.
We stopped at Dairy Queen for ice cream today while we waited to meet Kelly so they could go camping.  The girls were their silly selves, of course.  They told me that sometimes when they're brushing their teeth they'll be looking in the mirror and feel surprised at how much they look alike.  But otherwise, they don't think about it.
