Slime, nails

Ava spent all of Friday night doing surgery on her slime girl.  First she removed a lot of dirt and then she repaired the holes she made with stitches.
Harper kept busy giving herself a pedicure.  She made very intricate designs and said she might just want to be a nail technician when she's older.  Ava doesn't want to be a nurse or a doctor.

Macee

We had a nice spring break visit from Macee yesterday.  She's getting ready for her last quarter of law school.  She'll graduate in June and take the bar exam in July, lots of hard work ahead but she's ready for it.

Katelyn & Colin 14th birthday, hammock

Katelyn and Colin had a birthday party at Papa Pete's in Ridgefield on Saturday.
They turned 14 on the 19th.

The kids all had fun playing games and the pizza and cake were delicious.

Ava and Harper came home with us afterwards.  They spent some quality time on the hammock and we had our first fire pit of the year.  Today we played Monopoly in the morning and they drew some cool chalk houses in the afternoon.

St. Patrick's Day

Ava and Harper were really into St. Patrick's Day this year, in fact I got pinched the minute they got up.  Forgot my green.  Harper helped me make a green cake, from scratch and yet again we had another fail.  But it was edible around the edges and looked good decorated anyway.  Ava decorated one, too, but we were eating on that one before I got a picture of it.

Such a beautiful Sunday, perfect for their first picnic of the year, complete with our green cardamom bread.

Papa helped Parker and Gabe with a wire pull at the storage units, which are coming right along.

Luke's baseball, girl selfie

It was a beautiful Saturday to watch Luke play baseball.  Union beat Bonney Lake 5-0, they start league play next week.
Luke had lots of fans there. Ava and Harper were playing at a friend's house and missed the game, but they came home with us afterwards.
.  They played outside with Rielee until dark and would have stayed out if I let them.

Lexi's home, science fair

We got a bonus today, Lexi came home this morning so we got to see her and also go to the
girl's science fair.  We went to Red Robin to eat and visit beforehand.

Harper's science fair project was on how marshmallows react to heat.

Ava's was on how plants grow with different light sources.  They had to stand by their project for half an hour and be interviewed by judges.

Logging, pour painting, Snuggie Tails

Parker has a grapple hook attachment for the tractor and was able to drag sections of the tree up beside the woodshed for us.  What a time (and back) saver.
The girls tried acrylic pour painting this afternoon.
They really enjoyed it,
except it got a little messy.

Their finished creations.

All ready to watch a movie in the Snuggie Tails they got from Papa Mike.

Rielee's help

Rielee ran the splitter for Papa this afternoon as we started cutting up the big maple tree.  She also scraped moss off a bunch of the wood and stacked it.  She's saving money to buy AirPods and a newer phone.
Sunday she helped plant trees and got some practice driving the tractor when they hauled brush to the burn pile.
