Lunch, Will's birthday, Parker's floor, morning Monopoly

Saturday - Nancy, Colin and Katelyn went with us to Lacey to have lunch with Jill & Russ.
Later we celebrated Will's 25th birthday at the Dolans.  Again, I'm left asking, how did this happen?  He was just a little toddler running around in the woods or playing Pokemon with Macee...
Sunday Papa gave Parker a laminate installation lesson.

Ava and Harper spent Sunday night with us since they didn't have school Monday.  We played a 4 hour game of Monopoly and they didn't want it to end.  So I promised them we would play "morning Monopoly" in our pajamas and not get dressed till we were done.  They set their alarm for 8 a.m. and we started in, stopping briefly for breakfast when they started to get hungry and grumpy.  The game drug on and on, until Harper finally won it about 11.  They were still in game playing mode, so we played Tumblin' Monkeys, Maisy and Bingo, too.

Spelling practice

Wednesday Rielee played teacher and gave the girls their spelling words,
while Lucy watched.
She made it fun, using the words in silly sentences and had them both laughing hysterically.

Connect Four, mysteries and Legos

Lucy parked herself in the Connect Four box when the girls and I were taking a break from playing it Friday night.
After that Ava set up an office and said she was the house detective and needed a mystery to solve.
They had fun solving missing Princess Puppy and Lando cases, with clues hidden around the house,  then they each had mysteries for me to solve.

Lego tower building to the ceiling just never gets old!

Visiting BGHS

On the way home from picking up the girls we stopped by BGHS to see Charb.  He introduced us to some of his colleagues and staff in the office, and the girls got some candy from Scott, an Assistant Principal.  Since he was running late for a meeting it was a brief, but fun visit.

Lunch

Today was a beautiful day for lunch with Katelyn, Nancy and Colin.
Steve met them for Mexican food in Vancouver after dropping off the girls to Kelly, while I watched
some of Rielee's volleyball tournament.

Sand, checkers, Parker's stove

Friday night Rielee taught the girls how to play checkers, we had a board but no checkers, so they used paper clips.  When we went over to Rielee's, she got out her giant set.
Saturday morning they played with kinetic sand.  We set up a game with the catapult, Harper dominated.

Parker and Dad on the roof of his shop today installing the pipe for his wood stove.
He was so happy to have a fire burning, that cold shop has been miserable to work in.

Visitors

Rielee came over after school Wednesday to hang out with the girls. They were just plain silly the entire time.
Rielee went home and then Parker showed up to visit.  He loves to torment
the girls and they pretend not to like it, but keep coming back for more.

Parker's shop, card games, volleyball & lunch

Parker standing in what will soon be his kitchen.  He insulated it this weekend and the sheet rock guys came Sunday.
Friday night the girls talked Papa into playing his first game of Whoonu, he actually seemed to enjoy it.

Play date Saturday-I think this is the happiest I've ever seen Jillian, after she beat Rielee at UNO.  Bridget and Ava are playing with the bumper cars.

Rielee started club volleyball Sunday, she's on the same Aces team as before, 15U now.
We met Nancy and the kids for a fun lunch at Olive Garden. It was a feeding frenzy when
the bread sticks showed up.
