Rielee scrimmage, sewing

Tuesday night Rielee did stats at the 7th grade boys basketball game, then left at half time to go Mt. Solo for a volleyball scrimmage against a Cowlitz team.  She played well and they won all the games.
Today she had sewing, Jillian is holding up the project they finished today (which might be Mother's Day gifts so I can't say what they are).  They are also working on quilts made of minky fabric, which they're finding difficult to sew with since it's slippery.  Rielee said she's been using her seam ripper a lot. Their teacher said she would add some squares of another fabric to make the project go faster.

Pizza, devices, Bridget, Jordan and Rielee

Our partners for pizza Saturday night, Harper surprised us by eating 4 pieces, she was starving.
Sunday, enjoying their daily 15 minutes of "device" time.  Ava chose Starfall, they still play on it once in awhile.
Harper helped me clean the playroom since Rielee is staying with us for the week, she did a nice job of organizing their desk.

Jillian called to invite the girls down to play at Cathy's but Harper was recovering from a self-inflicted injury (somehow she hit her already loose tooth with her knee, making it really loose and bloody) so she asked for Bridget to come and play here. They had a good time, playing Monopoly, Dr. Eureka, drawing, and playing hide and seek.
Jordon came to visit us twice today while Dad had appointments.  He was doing this awesome move in his attempt to crawl, then did a face plant and somehow flipped on his back!  No tears though, he's a tough little guy.

Rielee entertained him for a long time showing him how to roll his tongue, he was concentrating and trying so hard.

Snow

Ava and Harper came up Friday night and stayed with us, then came back Monday and stayed a couple more nights, since they are on Winter Break.
Des taught Rielee and Harper how to play jacks last weekend.  They both kept practicing and mastered it in no time.

We saved the box from our vanity for the girls and they made it their house, complete with a flag made from an extra chunk of pipe.  Ava made me promise to keep it for them until the next time they come up.

Cards, cards, and more cards, a selfie by Rielee, during Uno and ice cream.

They spent lots of time outside in the snow.  Papa took them for a walk down the Dolan's trail, they were impressed by the bench overlooking the canyon.

Harper made a snow chair,

and we all worked together to make a snow person.  Rielee is eating
her dinner in the snow.

Sunny Saturday, slime, Lucy

The girls had fun outside, digging, swinging, riding around,

and helping Papa haul brush.

Rielee spent Saturday night with us, too.  She made slime and was tossing it up in the air when it hit the ceiling.  Took her about 15 minutes of scrubbing to get it all off, but she did and there wasn't a stain.  We had a funny situation at bedtime when, well, it wasn't funny at the time, but as I was putting them to bed, I unfolded Harper's blanket and noticed a spot on it.  Didn't have my glasses on so I held it up to her and asked what it was, and it was a bug, "IT"S A STINKBUG, GRANDMA!"  She freaked, Ava freaked, even Rielee got excited.  I had to wash the blanket and Rielee went to bed with the girls for awhile to talk them down off the ledge...
Harper wanted a picture with Lucy-she figured out a way to hold her without getting attacked.  She's such a grumpy cat, but  the girls still love her and try to play with her and call her "Sweetie".

Parker's 18th birthday

Parker turned 18 on the 1st and had his birthday dinner at Parker's.  He chose a huge piece of cheesecake for dessert and shared it with all of us.  He also got his first tattoo that day, Grandpa's signature on his forearm.  He said it hurt a lot.

He had a party at Papa Pete's Friday night so we celebrated my birthday, too.  I think we're singing to each other in this picture.  It was a fun party.

Macee came down for Parker's birthday,

and her friend Tobe came with her, it was nice to meet him.

Ava and Harper stayed with us after the party.  Saturday they wanted to make donuts.  They love mixing the glaze and getting just the right colors, and eating them, of course.   We also went to Alan and Vera's to see baby Jordon.  He was so cute, laughing at Harper when she said "hi" to him, over and over.
We went to the Dolans to see how Auna's cake-making was going.  She was almost done and it looked awesome.  She borrowed a couple of little dog figurines to add to the Eagles end of the cake.
Sunday - My early morning "31" partner. Rielee taught her how to play it.
We got Papa to play, too, but Ava didn't feel like learning  how.  Then Ava showed us a card game Papa Mike taught  them, so we all played that.
