Luke tennis

We watched Luke's tennis match at Heritage this afternoon.  He played great, with some good serves, long rallies and won his match.

Ava and Harper kept quiet playing games on the iPad and listening to music on Papa's phone.

Ava's puppy

Ava brought her puppy out to show Harper and I this morning saying puppy had an operation and couldn't have babies (that's a paper clip she straightened out).  We had Lucy spayed last week, she and Harper were fascinated by how her tummy looked.
I forgot this picture from yesterday-Rielee giving Ava a lesson on the best way to eat Grandma's whipped cream.

The girls had a late start this morning so we got to take them to school.  Ava is asking Ms. Cundiff something about an extra ticket that was on her desk.

Rielee's cheers, Ava Harper fort

Rielee went to a cheer camp this summer and got to go out with the cheerleaders at Parker's game Friday night.

Saturday Ava and Harper came up, they built another big fort and slept in it, they had their own rooms.

Working in it Sunday morning.

Emmy came over so she got a tour.

Dan too, they made an exception to their "no boys allowed" rule.
Later in the day, Ava and Rielee went out and pulled up the rest of the carrots.  They washed them and then Ava said she was going to see if anyone in the neighborhood wanted to buy some.  She sold some to the Dolan's for 50 cents and the rest to Vera for a dollar.  She was so proud of herself.  Harper and Rielee picked up cones to earn some cash, Harper said she is saving for their Disneyland trip next year.

Picking up the girls

Rielee went with us when we picked up the girls after school yesterday.  She was mobbed, they were so thrilled to see her and show her their Student I.D. cards.  The Kings Way parking lot is very busy (since they don't have busses), so we went to Kelly's office and she walked us over to get them.
They built a blanket fort to sleep in last night, then made it bigger and better this morning.  It had tunnels, furniture and a room for Lucy.  Lucy wasn't interested in it and scratched Harper by the time they got her out of there.

Making cupcakes to take home, they're getting really good at filling them.

Rielee & Lucy, Auna volleyball

 Our sweet little Rielee.
She comes over most afternoons to play with Lucy.  Their play got a little wild today and Rielee went home with kind of a shredded arm.

We had so much fun last night watching CR beat their old rival Kalama 3-1, they haven't beat them since Macee and Tierney played so it was a huge victory.  Auna played great and was thrilled with the win.

Emmy talking to one of her players during a timeout  in the 3rd game, then we notice that Rielee is sitting on the Kalama bench, what the heck?? Turns out she played volleyball with Reagan, the girl next to her, who's Mom is Kalama's coach.  Rielee had even gone out on the court and was in the huddle with the team during timeout, which must have been so exciting for her.
Sisters, Emmy was really proud of the way Auna played.

Auna's first day

Auna came over this morning so I could take her picture.  She looked so stinking cute for her first day as a Junior.  Ava and Harper called and said their first day went well.  Harper said "art" was the best part of her day and that they really like their teacher.

Meet the teacher, Emmy v'ball

The girls got to meet their teacher today at King's Way Christian, their new school, but first they went to Mommy's office at the high school and we got a picture there.  Mommy's co-worker also has a 2nd grader, so she and her little boy showed us the way to 2nd grade rooms.

The girls put their school supplies in different boxes or crates around the room or in zippered pouches to keep in a plastic box in their desks.  Their teacher, Miss Cundiff, is young (her 4th year of teaching) and very nice.  She said there's another set of twins in her classroom along with a set of siblings.

Harper at her desk, she's #10, that's the number of her homework cubby and backpack space.

and Ava is #2
Ava was trying not to smile, maybe feeling a little anxious.

Tonight we went to watch Emmy's team play Woodland, they beat them in 3.  What a busy day-her first day of school plus a volleyball match!

Scooters and 4-wheeler

The girls played in the hammock for the last time this year, then rode scooters.  Rielee was riding around on the 4-wheeler, she's been doing a lot of that lately, and stopped for a picture.  Ava spotted Lucy in the field playing with a mouse, so Papa put Lucy in the house to save what he said was a baby mouse.

Jamboree

Auna had her volleyball jamboree this morning at Mark Morris.  She played well and the team should be very competitive this year.  Emmy was also there, coaching for the Kalama team.
On the way home we stopped to see what progress Gabe and Parker were making with the excavator they rented this weekend.  Parker got to use it for 3 hours yesterday, he said that was really fun. Gabe was removing stumps and piling up brush today while Parker pulled out logs with the tractor.  They took a break for a minute while we were there.
Rielee with "Oreo", one of the 6 new chicks she got today!

Kelso win

Parker had his first football game tonight, he played fullback and on special teams as Kelso beat Mark Morris 42-7.  He played well, ran the ball once for 6 yds., caught a pass for 8 yds., I think, and punted once.  And I forgot the memory card in my camera so I only have these crummy cellphone pictures...
Rielee had fun with her friends during the game.
