We went to Union today to watch Lexi and the rest of the Titans play Camas. Close game, Lexi had an RBI but they came up short and lost 6-5.
Memories of time spent with grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and the whole new world of twins.

Easter
Easter was once again at the Woodruff's house. We had a delicious meal first and as soon as the rain quit, we took the little kids out to hunt eggs.
But first they had to pose for the traditional "kids" picture.
Harper grabbing an egg while Rielee and Ava are on the move behind her.
Dresses, boots, and baskets.
Cathy trying to figure out the teams for a new "big kids and adults" egg hunt, something different this year. The little kids hid the eggs, they were very serious about it and hid them well.
Jillian looked so happy as the big kids and adults were hunting.
There were Scrabble tiles hidden in the eggs and the teams had 5 minutes to make as many words as they could. Team 2 (in the picture) won, I think they had 370 pts. to 317 for the other team. Team 1 found less eggs since most of them took off in the wrong direction and had to climb over the fence which slowed them down considerably...
Next was the little kids egg roll, Ava and Harper were really concentrating but threw their eggs too hard and were out on the first roll.
Rielee was the winner.
In the adults egg roll, it came down to Brock and Luke, but Luke's egg rolled over the line so Brock won.
Ava and Harper were excited to try the raw egg toss for the first time, but only lasted one toss and were out.
Luke catching a toss from Charb.
It came down to Tierney and Brock vs. James and Dan and James and Dan won in a toss-off. Dan is looking kind of sheepish since the back of his pants ripped when he made the winning catch, so funny!
It was a great day with our close, silly, competitive family, it's amazing how much fun you can have with eggs.

Meeting puppy
Harper, Rielee and Ava meeting Otis, the new Gourde/Staton family member. He's a 12 wk. old (born on Christmas Eve) pug/terrier mix. His name might be changed (his sister was Milo), Harper thought "Jo-Jo" might be a good name.
He's a sweet little pup, Ava and Harper were over-the-top excited when they first saw him, but then got a little nervous around him. They gave him one of their little stuffed animals to play with and he was happy.

Chicks and firewood
Rielee had her chicks out in the sunshine after school today. She's not terribly happy with this bunch, seems some of them aren't so nice to a couple of the smaller ones.
Parker called and asked if I had any work for him, so I had him take out another pine. I've never seen such a happy logger.
His splitter makes short work out of a project that would have taken Papa and I half the day.

Cupcakes, painting and clean money
The girls helped me finish cinnamon rolls when they first got here Saturday, but wanted to bake something else. They decided on green cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day. They're getting good at filling cupcakes.
They started painting on their canvases, got the backgrounds all done.
Sunday morning, Harper asked to wash her money, it took a long time but came out nice and shiny.
Back to their paintings with lots more energy,
Ava painted a bird on a wire and Harper did all flowers.
Harper is Star of the Week in their class so she got to take a picture of herself to share today and also took a green treasure box since they were sharing something green. They were both very excited to be getting a new boy in their classroom.

Painting, book characters
Rielee didn't have school Thursday so she spent some time painting.
The kids looked so cute this morning. It was "dress as your favorite book character" day at school, Rielee went as Pippi Longstocking, she had a wire in those pigtails.
Sophia and Brody were Harry Potter and a Minecraft "Creeper". They were all ready to have a very fun day.

Saturday night with the girls, Sunday housewarming
Saturday was makeover night. Rielee and Harper did each other's hair, then
Rielee did Ava's makeup and Ava got to pick out Rielee's clothes.
Then they frosted and decorated their banana cake and cupcakes.
Rielee went home for awhile so Ava and Harper decided to put their workout clothes on, Ava was excited to be wearing some of Lexi's old sweats. Ava showed us how she can crawl around with Harper on her back.
Ava did say that it feels like Harper is getting heavier and it's very hard to give her piggy back rides now.
Today was Emmy and Dan's housewarming and lots of the family were there.
Ava and Harper handed them their gifts when they opened them.
The cousins had fun playing together and posed with Dan in the gazebo.
