Thanksgiving week

Macee and Wrennie flew in for Thanksgiving last Friday, Craig drove over on Saturday.
Wrennie came down with a respiratory virus Saturday night,
she was treated at the ER in Longview, got a little better (picture with Grandpa was taken Sunday morning) but then Sunday night she was much worse.
They took her back to PeaceHealth and she was transferred to Randall Children's Hospital in Portland. She came home Monday afternoon and is on the mend.  Thank goodness, poor baby.
It was very scary.

The girls came up and stayed with us Sunday and Monday night.  They got to babysit Ellie on Monday, learning how to change a diaper and care for a baby.  They're both taking a child development class in school, but it hasn't covered the diapering situation yet.
They did really well and loved every minute of it. Ellie was very cooperative!

Brentley and Hattie came to visit, too, we had little girls here of all ages.

Thanksgiving - we sure have lots to be thankful for this year.

First and foremost, that Wrennie felt good enough to enjoy all the good food!

It was Wrennie and Ellie's first Thanksgiving!
Side note-Ellie had on a cute First Thanksgiving outfit, but on the drive
from Alissa's parents in Washougal, she had a blow-out!

Such cute cousins, and cute sisters!

At 10 months, Wrennie is crawling fast and pulling herself up,

especially to get to Elmo, she loves Elmo!

Papa's birthday

A rare photo of Lucy allowing the girls to pet her.

On a hike around the property Ava found a baby snail,
and Harper found an old Easter egg with some change in it!
Eventually, Ava put him back where she found him so he could go back to his family.

Saturday night we put up the Christmas tree and painted Christmas trees and snowmen.

Papa turned 83 on Sunday the 9th, the girls baked him two cakes.
I didn't get any pictures but Harper did - of course getting one of cute little Ellie with Great-Uncle Charb.

I visited Ellie and Alissa today while Papa was doing some
odd jobs for Alissa.  Ellie was batting around at her favorite toy.

Then she wore herself out and took a snooze.

Ellie 3 months

Little Ellie is 3 months old today. She's getting so big and starting to reach out and touch things.

We're kind of obsessed with the sweet little faces she makes.

She likes to look at herself in the mirror on her playmat.

Halloween

It was a fun Halloween around here.  Josie came over to play

and help me decorate cookies, she really loves sprinkles.

Then Alissa brought Eli over wearing a light-up hat we gave her when she was born.

The girls looked so cute in their Elsa and Anna costumes.

Ellie wasn't sure about her chicken costume.

But she still looked cute!

Sunday we took the girls to Big Al's for lunch and games and then shopped at Ross.
We heard about their Halloween going to The Scaregrounds at Oaks Amusement Park.
Harper said it was so scary she almost decked one of the "creatures".
